Important Information on Fiance Visa UK

If you want to relocate to the UK to start a new life with your partner who is already living in the UK, you can apply for a Fiance visa. This visa is structured for non-EEA citizens to join their partner in the UK.

The UK partner of the applicant must be the one who is a British citizen, holds indefinite leave to remain (ILR), or Settled status or limited leave to remain such as Pre-settled status in the UK under Appendix EU or Appendix ECAA. The applicant will be issued with a 6 month’s visa to enter and allow them to get married. In order for them to continue to remain in the UK, they would need to apply for a new Spouse Visa application of their UK partner to stay for 2 and half years or 30 months in the UK.

What are the requirements for Fiance Visa UK?

To qualify for a fiance visa the following requirements need to be fulfilled;

  • You must have met in person
  • Both your ages will be 18 or over
  • Your partner is British, holds ILR or Settled Status or Limited Leave to remain in the UK
  • The applicant must make an valid from outside the UK
  • You meet the financial requirement of £18,600 to make sure that you will not take from the public funds.
  • You must be able to understand and speak English at the level of A1.
  • There must be enough living arrangements for the fiancĂ© and any dependents.
  • Your intention of marrying the person should be within six months

What are the financial requirements to obtain a Fiance visa UK:

You can prove your finances through any of the following:

  • Regular salary through employment
  • Self-employment
  • Statutory sick pay, maternity, paternity or adoption pay
  • Cash Savings
  • Stocks and shares
  • Pension payments
  • Property financial gains, such as a regular income from rent

You may still be able to meet the requirement if you are not working or are on benefits or have sufficient savings to satisfy the financial requirements.
